Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Productivity Podcast Short episode today, but I'm joined by two colleagues, james and Sue. Hi, both Hello. So today we're going to talk about the Retail Technology Show, which is a couple of weeks away, at the time of recording in Olympia, london 24th, 25th of April, and we have a stand. I think it's our fourth year, is it Sue? Having a stand.

Speaker 3:

Yes, and the good thing is, compared to the last three years, we're in exactly the same spot, aren't we? So people that found us before hopefully find us again yeah, absolutely so.

Speaker 1:

Stand number 6b37 for those that want to use the app or the map or go online or find us. But yeah, look out for us on the two days and, james, you've been working hard on something exclusively for the event. If you want to give us? But yeah, look out for us on the two days and, james, you've been working hard on something exclusively for the event. If you want to give us a quick rundown?

Speaker 2:

yeah, I mean I'm excited to attend the retail tech show for the first time and I'm really excited to meet people and talk to them about their productivity data and their productivity health check with them. So I've been working on a on a quiz very short, six or seven questions, where, depending on your answers, you can get some useful hints and tips on how to improve your productivity or how to improve your productivity data. And as a thank you for completing the quiz, you'll not only get the hints and tips that are embedded in it, but you'll also get a copy of Sue and Simon's book Every Second Counts, which goes into a lot more detail in all of the areas that the quiz covers excellent, looking forward to that.

Speaker 1:

I've seen the preview, so, uh, look, all looks good and and sue, just following on that, you'll be there to talk about the book with people and any kind of projects they've they've got in mind yeah, it's always good to talk to people that we've worked with before and find out how they've used the data and what they've done with it and kind of the changes that they've made.

Speaker 3:

So to hear the end of the story is always really good. So I was keen to do that. But yeah, anybody that's got kind of change projects coming up that they think we can be of any help with, so where measurement would help or where they've got to kind of find opportunities and some data would really help them make better decisions, then always up for those sorts of conversations too.

Speaker 1:

And you might get a book as well if you have a conversation with Sue. Although there's a limited supply, we'll keep them rare, so we don't see any on eBay or in the pound or 50p bucket. Other things will be there. So general chat would be great to catch up with um kind of people that we know. It's great for us to do some networking with partners that we work with as well.

Speaker 1:

We'll also be able to talk to you about our academy, so the retime academy, where we're training um, work measurement and kind of labor modeling. We actually are our work study apps, retime. If you're interested, we'll have some live demos there, and we'll also be talking about ReBudget, which is our new online labour modelling platform. So, depending on how you do it today, we can kind of incorporate that in some of the health check conversation with James, but also talk to you about how we're going to move labour budgeting forward, take it online, make it more dynamic, link it to kind of more ai machine learning algorithms for forecasting. So happy to have that conversation with uh, with anybody who's interested, and we'll look forward to seeing you on stand 6b 37, 24th, 25th of april 2024 and, if you can't make, it probably worth people signing up for the forum too.

Speaker 3:

Yes, so once a year we invite all our clients and people to join us so we'll really share some. It's a networking event, really, where we share some insights and results from projects. People get to talk about being in a room with people that do the same job as them, because I think most people that do kind of the sorts of jobs that we work with are in a quiet corner of an organisation doing really important work, and most of the other people within that business don't look at the world quite the same way. So if people find it really refreshing to be in a room full of people that all have the same outlook and the same challenges and opportunities and find it really useful to share learnings and get some new ideas so it's the 12th of September at the National Conference Centre close to Birmingham International Station- Brilliant.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, and yeah, registration's open. We've got over 120 people registered. You can register online. Once we get to capacity, which we're nearing, then we'll close that. So look forward to seeing everybody. James, it's your first time, so bring your walking shoes, because you get around plenty of stands and see plenty of people, but you'll get your steps in in those two days, I'm sure. If you want to reach out in advance book session, that's fine. Fine, if not, we'll look forward to seeing you on the 24th and 25th of April. Thanks, james, thanks Sue.

Speaker 2:

Thanks, simon.
